REDD+ Forest conservation in Ecuado

How can financial incentives promote forest conservation and poverty alleviation? Using a payment for ecosystem services program in the Ecuadorian Amazon called Socio Bosque, we have evaluated the equity of the distribution of conservation incentives (Krause et al., 2013, Ecology & Society) and the institutional arrangements for managing incentives (Collen et al., 2015).
